MDH is a Stroke doctor from Calgary.  He is a Professor, Department of Clinical Neurosciences and at the Hotchkiss Brain Institute at the University of Calgary and Foothills Medical Centre in Canada.  He is the current senior medical director for Cardiovascular and Stroke SCN for the province at Alberta Health Services and the current President of the Canadian Neurological Sciences Federation.  His clinical interests include acute stroke care and various aspects for stroke prevention.  He runs a clinic for patients with CADASIL.  Academically he is a clinical trialist and has led several stroke trials, a Covid19 trial and has been involved in the development of clinical trials infrastructure both locally and nationally.  He still plays hockey (Ice hockey --- there is only one kind 😊 ) and soccer and competes in long distance running mostly just to see if he can finish.
